Use Your Health Fund at Revive Dental
Revive Dental accepts patients with all private health funds, making it easy to use your available dental extras towards eligible treatment.
Private health insurance can help reduce your out-of-pocket dental costs, depending on your level of cover, annual limits, waiting periods and the treatment you require. We can provide an itemised treatment estimate to help you check your expected rebate with your health fund before proceeding.
Medicare generally does not cover dental care, with most dental services excluded from Medicare benefits. Private health insurance may cover some dental costs depending on your policy.

Benefits may include:
- Free First Clean: 100% back on your first scale and clean each calendar year, subject to your available annual limit and any applicable waiting periods.
- Predictable Rebates: Eligible preventative dental services, such as examinations and fluoride treatments, may receive rebates of between 50% and 100%, depending on your level of cover.
- Capped & Reduced Fees: HBF Members Plus providers agree to specific schedule fees for eligible services, which can help reduce unexpected out-of-pocket costs.
Your HBF benefits depend on your policy and remaining annual limits. We recommend checking your specific entitlements with HBF before treatment.
How Health Fund Dental Rebates Work
Your private health insurance may provide a rebate towards eligible dental treatment. The amount you can claim depends on your individual policy rather than the dental practice. Your cover may be affected by:
- Your level of dental extras cover
- Whether the treatment is classified as general or major dental
- Annual benefit limits
- Waiting periods
- Your remaining annual entitlement
- The specific item numbers associated with your treatment
We can provide an itemised treatment estimate so you can contact your health fund and confirm your expected rebate before proceeding.
For eligible services, our team can also assist with checking your available rebate through HICAPS at your appointment. Got questions? Get in touch, call Revive Dental on (08) 9316 0555, message us on WhatsApp or make an online enquiry.
Preventive & General Dental Care
Regular dental care is an important part of maintaining your oral health. Depending on your private health insurance policy, dental extras may provide benefits towards routine and preventative services.
Explore our dental services:
Professional dental care focused on preventing tooth decay, gum disease and other oral health problems.
Routine dental examinations, fillings, extractions, restorative care and other general dental services.
Your health fund determines your rebate, so we recommend checking your individual cover before treatment.
Health Funds for Restorative & Other Dental Treatment
Private health insurance can provide benefits towards a range of eligible dental services, including some restorative and major dental procedures.
Depending on your level of cover, your policy may provide benefits towards treatments such as:
- Crowns and bridges
- Restorative dentistry
- Extractions
- Preventative dental care
- Other eligible dental procedures
More extensive treatment may fall under your fund’s major dental category and can be subject to different limits and waiting periods.
If you’re considering treatment, we can provide an itemised estimate to help you confirm your expected rebate with your insurer. Get in touch, call Revive Dental on (08) 9316 0555, message us on WhatsApp or make an online enquiry.
DVA Dental Services
Revive Dental also welcomes eligible Department of Veterans’ Affairs (DVA) patients.
DVA may fund clinically necessary dental treatment for eligible Veteran Card holders. Veteran Card – All Conditions holders may be eligible for dental services for all clinically necessary conditions, while Veteran Card – Specific Conditions holders may receive dental treatment where it relates to an accepted service-related condition.
Some dental services require prior financial authorisation from DVA, and coverage and patient contributions can depend on the treatment and your individual circumstances.
If you have a DVA Veteran Card, let our team know when making your appointment so we can discuss the applicable arrangements.
Understanding Your Dental Benefits

1. Whether the treatment is covered
2. Your expected rebate
3. Your remaining annual limit
4. Any applicable waiting periods
5. Whether any restrictions or exclusions apply
Our team can provide the relevant treatment item numbers and an itemised estimate to help you obtain accurate information from your insurer.
