Why are regular check-ups & cleans important?
Regular check-ups and cleans help you stay on top of your oral health. They allow our team to identify and manage concerns early, support healthy teeth and gums, and provide personalised guidance to care for your smile between visits. With gentle, thorough care, these appointments are a simple way to help maintain confidence in your smile over time.
-
Do dental cleans hurt?
Dental cleans are generally gentle and designed to be comfortable. Most clients feel only mild sensitivity or pressure rather than significant pain. Some discomfort may occur if gums are inflamed, teeth are sensitive, or there’s deep tartar, often felt as brief soreness when plaque is removed. For deeper treatments, local anaesthetic is applied, and any temporary soreness usually eases as gums heal. Open communication with your clinician is encouraged, so that we may tailor your experience to your comfort.

How long does a check-up & clean take?
For new clients, your first check-up and clean is a comprehensive assessment designed to give us a complete understanding of your oral health and aesthetic goals. It includes a full oral examination, necessary radiographs, digital photographs, 3D imaging and treatment planning, which typically takes 30 minutes.
Your professional scale and clean with fluoride treatment usually takes a further 30 minutes.
